Our specialty is hand-crafted, air-roasted artisan coffee, a roasting method that allows for cleaner flavors and greater consistency in every batch. Air roasting reduces bitterness and highlights the natural character of each bean, whether it’s bold and rich or bright and smooth. We roast in small batches to ensure quality control and peak freshness, because we believe great coffee should never taste stale or ordinary.

The Story Behind Our Name

The name High Wired Coffee Roasters comes from a unique piece of our family history. Owner, Ange, spent her college years at Florida State University performing with the Flying High Circus - a tradition shared with her father and brother. The high wire represented courage, balance, precision, and the thrill of doing something bold — qualities that naturally carried over into our approach to coffee roasting and business ownership. The name is a tribute to that chapter of life and the fearless mindset it inspired: taking risks, trusting your craft, and striving to stand out.

High Wired’s owner and head roaster, Eric, also has a legacy “high” in the sky. Upon graduation from FSU, he was commissioned as an officer with the US Navy. He served as a Naval Flight Officer stationed at Barber’s Point, Hawaii and was deployed during Desert Storm. His service to the armed forces was one of tradition as well, proudly following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.

While the name reflects creativity and boldness, the heart of our coffee journey began with family. Bob — Ange’s father — is the one who first sparked the passion for coffee. His appreciation for quality brews and the simple joy of sharing a great cup with others laid the foundation for what High Wired Coffee Roasters would eventually become. From a conversation on a back porch, roasting coffee on a popcorn popper and turbo roaster - an idea began to form. What started as an interest grew into a family pursuit rooted in tradition, learning, and a desire to do things the right way rather than the easy way.
